WELCOME TO THE CAPE FEAR FOOD COUNCIL
The Cape Fear Food Council is a grassroots collaboration of individuals and organizations based in and around Wilmington, North Carolina that share a common interest in the local food system. The council is comprised of nonprofits, small businesses, governmental entities and concerned citizens. We work together to coordinate our collective efforts and advocate for system-wide change on issues such as supporting local family farms, combating food insecurity, and reducing food waste. The council hosts quarterly business meetings and coordinates or participates in community events during the other months of the year. All meetings and food council events are open to the general public - we welcome your participation! Please visit the calendar page for a schedule of activities.
